Nine Years of Inspiration, Purpose, Growth, Impact, and an Obsession to Always “Do Right”

Nine years ago, on May 1, 2017, CorrHealth’s journey began with something deeply personal.

It was greatly inspired by my sister, Ashley, her pain, her struggles with mental health, and the life-altering moment when she was struck by a fast-moving car in a school crosswalk at just sixteen years old. What followed was her difficult path that led to serious addiction, crime, multiple stints in various county jails, and a recovery, which tragically, never came. Through her experiences, my eyes were opened to the profound gaps in care, the lack of resources, compassion, and a lack of understanding that exist within our systems. At the same time, through years of charity and volunteer work, I encountered countless stories that echoed these same themes: individuals with struggles and navigating hardships in environments that too often felt impersonal, under-resourced, or misaligned with the very people they were meant to serve.

From those experiences, my vision and purpose began to take shape: to risk it all and do whatever it took and take the leap to build something truly different, something truly special, and stand up to make a change. I set out to create an organization grounded in compassion and accountability, one that could stand apart in an industry too often influenced by private equity greed and detached decision-making. My goal was simple, but undeniably ambitious: to Be An Agent of Positive Change.

Today, nine years later, my vision has become a reality. And I am both incredibly proud, deeply grateful, and further inspired to do more.

What we’ve built is far more than a company. We are a family, a team of passionate, dedicated professionals who lead and serve with integrity, compassion, and accountability. Our culture is grounded in a simple but powerful principle: to always “Do Right”, even when it’s harder, even if it’s unpopular, and even when it costs more. Most importantly, we are unwavering in our commitment to our team members, our county partners, and the communities we serve each and every day.

Over the past nine years, we’ve faced our share of challenges. We’ve stumbled, and we got right back up. We’ve made countless mistakes, we learned from them, and we work hard not to repeat them. We’ve navigated through an unprecedented global pandemic.

We’ve grown, we’ve adapted, and we’ve persevered through an industry that has evolved in complex, challenging, and often unpredictable ways.

But through it all, our mission has remained constant: to deliver meaningful impact, to educate and improve lives, and to raise the standard of care for one of the most underserved populations.

I could not be prouder of who we are, what we do, how we do it, and the lives we continue to impact on a daily basis.

To our team members, our county partners, and the communities we serve, my heartfelt and sincere THANK YOU. Thank you for your trust, your support, and for being part of this incredible journey over the past nine years.

The past nine years have been extraordinary, but this is just the beginning. Here’s to the next nine years, and many more beyond.

Always my very best,

Todd
