Why Choose CorrHealth

Expect more, because you deserve better.

Through honest communication, we build trust; give you 100%; and are committed to always “Do Right” which lies at the core of our foundation and everything we do.

Experience and expertise.

At CorrHealth, we bring more than 20 years of correctional expertise to the counties we proudly serve. We are comprised of nearly 300 tenured correctional healthcare professionals who care for nearly 10,000 lives per day. We have experience with state detention standards, managing our programs through professional and industry-based policies and procedures based on state, NCCHC, ACA, federal, and community-based standards of care.

Why Choose CorrHealth

Unrivaled partnership.

Privately Held

CorrHealth is privately held, which empowers counties with enhanced controls and the ability to work directly with CorrHealth’s ownership and decision-makers. Less red tape.

Transparency

CorrHealth is the only inmate healthcare provider to deliver true and unfiltered transparency into our financials, our operations, our business practices, and in all aspects of our partnership.

Structured For Your Needs

Our company structure is designed so that we satisfy the requirements set forth to provide the service and care that you and your patients need and deserve, yet small enough to care and provide the personal attention you need.

Quality patient care.

We understand what’s important to you.

Regionally focused and local.

CorrHealth is the only inmate healthcare provider who recruits and employs leaders, travel, and flex nurses who reside within the states we proudly serve. By doing so, we are able to deliver proactive, on-site leadership support more frequently and respond rapidly to the needs of our partners.

High standard of care.

CorrHealth understands that every county has unique, specific needs. Furthermore, we do not believe in a one program or service should fit all mentality when it comes to correctional healthcare. In today’s industry, counties expect a higher standard of care, and inmate patients deserve more than standard off-the-shelf programs and services that have been set forth by other providers. CorrHealth’s partnerships are tailored specifically to meet and exceed the unique and evolving needs of each facility and each individual.

Focus on training.

Our training curriculum begins with new hire orientation and is held in person a few days prior to our transition into a facility. Initial training includes:

· HR familiarization with benefits and pay schedules
· CorrHealth’s policies
· Courses from our Learning Management system
· Clinical and mental health overview
· CorEMR training
· PowerDMS

Plus, team members begin training at the facilities with specific policies and procedures related to their job function. They must pass competency tests before being allowed to function on their own in the facility(ies).

There is a 90-day performance evaluation for coaching the team member and our leadership team monitors their progress, answers any questions, and makes sure they are on track for success.

Maximize on-site programs and services and minimizing unnecessary off-site transports.

CorrHealth’s programs and services are designed to maximize on-site programs and services, reduce inmate movement and decrease costly, risk-laden, offsite medical-related transports. With partnerships built over many years, CorrHealth’s leadership team has established programs with various ancillary (dental, laboratory, x-ray, medical waste, dialysis, OB/GYN, and pharmaceutical) medical and mental health providers who provide professional on-site healthcare programs and services to our inmate population. We also maximize services by proactively retaining, recruiting, hiring/contracting, training, and supporting locally based medical and mental healthcare providers who understand our commitment to our partner-counties and our communities.

Reduced costs.

As concerns for rising costs continue in the industry, CorrHealth understands that our counties have a responsibility to provide and maintain critical medical and mental health care services for their inmates, to ensure safety and security at their facilities, and be good stewards of the county’s tax dollar. CorrHealth partners with our counties to assist them in reducing overall costs and mitigate risk and liability. By reducing off-site transports and maximizing on-site services as well as by providing ongoing support and additional training for our qualified health care teams, we ensure that the goals of the county are a priority as part of our partnership.

Utmost value.

CorrHealth genuinely understands the needs of our partners and the issues they face in their communities today. As your experienced inmate healthcare provider-partner, we have a genuine passion and expertise to meet and exceed those needs. We are uninterested in just doing the status quo, but instead strive to build a relationship based on integrity, transparency, and firm commitment to delivering quality service and support. We are skilled in the unique nuances of operating within state detention and national (NCCHC, ACA, and Federal) industry standards and best practices. Our counties can have confidence that we are hands-on and proactive with ‘boots on the ground’ when our partners need us at a moment’s notice.

Mitigating risks and liabilities.

We provide meticulous attention to detail regarding our operations, record keeping, and service of care. We are proactive & assertive in mitigating our county-partner’s looming risks & liabilities by:

Adam Hilliard
Captain of the Adult Detention Center
Midland County, Texas

We needed an experienced provider who knew their business, was willing to create a unique program utilizing our county employees, and manage our programs and services through a co-management model. CorrHealth answered the call and did so with impressive service and support commitments coupled with fair, straightforward, and transparent pricing.

Ricky Armstrong
Major and Correctional Jail Manager (CJM)
McLennan County, Texas

The CorrHealth team rose to the challenge of taking over from a previous organization that had failed to meet the majority of our contract requirements. Your ability to recruit and retain medical professionals versus simply putting bodies in positions in this rural part of New Mexico was impressive. The stability your team has delivered to this vital part of our organization is exactly what we needed to ensure our detainees receive the care they need and deserve. I would recommend your services to any facility that is looking for the highest quality, professional and proactive medical services.
