We are excited to welcome Jackson Valliant to the CorrHealth family as our new Senior Accountant. Jackson brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for accounting, making him a perfect fit for our team. Here’s a closer look at his journey, expertise, and what drives him both professionally and personally.
A Family Legacy in Accounting
Jackson’s journey into accounting was influenced by his family. With both his father and sister being accountants, Jackson found his calling early on. His interest was solidified when he took his first college-level accounting class. “I knew I wanted to be an accountant when I took my first college-level accounting class,” Jackson shared. His career began as a cash accountant, and through dedication and hard work, he has now risen to the position of Senior Accountant.
Building Expertise Through Diverse Experiences
Jackson’s career path has been shaped by his experiences with several notable companies. His tenure at ABC Fitness, Essential Lending, and AZZ has equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary for his role at CorrHealth. “My experience with ABC Fitness, Essential Lending, and AZZ has prepared me and helped me build the knowledge necessary to be where I am today,” he noted. These roles have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of accounting, positioning him well to be a good steward of county tax dollars and ensure financial responsibility at CorrHealth.
The Joy of Problem-Solving in Accounting
What Jackson enjoys most about working in accounting is the problem-solving aspect. He likens it to solving a big puzzle, finding it both engaging and fascinating. “I like the problem-solving aspect of accounting. It’s like a big puzzle, and you’re trying to put all the pieces together,” he said. This passion for solving complex financial puzzles keeps him motivated and driven in his career.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of the office, Jackson is a devoted family man. He is married with three daughters, and even their dog is a girl, adding a touch of humor to his life. “I’m married and have 3 daughters, even the dog is a girl. Haha,” Jackson shared with a smile. He actively coaches all of his 6-year-old daughter’s sports, including baseball, soccer, and basketball. A true sports enthusiast, Jackson is a big fan of all Dallas teams and has been playing hockey for over 25 years. He also enjoys playing golf and slow-pitch softball.
Jackson Valliant’s diverse background, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for both his professional and personal life make him an excellent addition to the CorrHealth team. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our organization and our city and county partners.
