Our Co-Founder and President of Operations, Victor Hutchinson, accepted the Patriotic Employer Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) earlier this month. Victor is being recognized for his outstanding support of team members in the National Guard and Reserves.
Victor was nominated by fellow military veteran, Rob Ramonas for the support he provided Rob during his onboarding at CorrHealth. Victor’s dedication to not only the correctional healthcare industry but to the team members of CorrHealth, is worthy of recognition.
“Victor was always supportive and understanding and understood the importance of my military obligations. I think that is the typical dilemma that Army Reservist find themselves in, trying to balance work with military and having a work-life balance as well.” – Rob Ramonas
Victor Hutchinson has over 26 years of hands-on nursing experience managing correctional healthcare operations throughout Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and counties throughout the nation. An active member and supporter of the Texas Jail Association, the New Mexico Association of Counties, the National Commission on Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC), and the American Correctional Association (ACA) and actively belongs to many associations which CorrHealth supports. Victor is a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he remarked, “To me, it’s amazing because it recognizes what we do. We try to reach out to our veterans. I’m a big supporter of veterans, being in the Air Force for almost 21 years and it’s just helping people use their skills and see their value as they transition to civilian life.”
CorrHealth is proud and excited to be a part of this achievement alongside Victor. As a Veteran-owned company, we strive to ensure that applicants who are serving in the National Guard and Reserves or any branch of military service have unique and equal opportunity in the correctional healthcare industry.
This the second time a CorrHealth team member has been nominated and won the award. Health Services Administrator and Registered Nurse, Nelda Delgado, won the award in April of 2021. Learn about her nomination here.
