Wichita County, Texas
"Smooth, Seamless, highly professional" – Lisa Patterson
On March 1st, 2022, CorrHealth successfully transitioned our team, our programs, and services in the Wichita County Detention Center, which has a state rated capacity of 718 beds and manages an ADP of 550 inmates, and in the Judge Arthur R. Tipps Juvenile Justice Center, which operates a state rated capacity of 32 beds with an ADP of 10 juvenile detainees.
Wichita County is certified by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS), and CorrHealth is proud to support and successfully maintain these important standards and certification for Wichita County since day one of our partnership.

CorrHealth transitioned their team and programs in both of our detention facilities on March 1st, 2022, and I was immediately blown away at how they came in with a full transition team and how they managed our transition. In fact, our transition was smooth, seamless and highly professional. Several members of their team stayed on site until their team was fully trained, confident and ready to function on their own, which was comforting to me and our agency. With just a few months in, CorrHealth’s ownership and leadership are here (on-site) significantly more than our former provider (WellPath) was here in the total time they held our contract. The CorrHealth team is proactive, they communicate exceptionally well, they retained all of the health care personnel who we wanted to keep, they have recruited a strong and impressive team, and they have kept each of their positions filled since day one. So far, I’m ecstatic with their level of professionalism, communication, training, service and their hands on attention. In short, partnering with CorrHealth is one of the best decisions Wichita County has made since I’ve held the Captain position. I sleep much better at night knowing CorrHealth is here, having CorrHealth here helps our operation run much more smoothly, and I highly recommend them to any agency looking for a professional organization who does what they say they’ll do and seeking a true and highly engaged partnership.
